1. Subscription Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time. To cancel your subscription:
- Log in to your ValidContact account
- Navigate to your account settings
- Click on "Cancel Subscription" or "Manage Subscription"
- Follow the prompts to complete the cancellation
Once cancelled, your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period. You will continue to have access to all paid features until that date. After the billing period ends, your account will be downgraded to the free tier (if available) or deactivated.
2. Refund Policy
ValidContact operates on a subscription-based model. Refunds are handled according to the following policy:
2.1 Monthly Subscriptions
For monthly subscriptions:
- No refunds are provided for the current billing month once payment has been processed
- Cancellation will prevent future charges
- You retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing cycle
2.2 Annual Subscriptions
For annual subscriptions:
- Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of the initial purchase
- Refunds are calculated on a pro-rata basis if cancelled within the first 30 days
- After 30 days, no refunds will be provided for annual subscriptions
- Refunds will be processed within 7-14 business days to your original payment method
2.3 Refund Eligibility
Refunds may be considered in the following exceptional circumstances:
- Duplicate charges due to technical errors
- Unauthorized transactions (subject to verification)
- Service unavailability for extended periods (more than 48 hours)
- Material breach of our Terms of Service by ValidContact
3. Refund Process
To request a refund:
- Contact our support team at hello@validcontact.io with your refund request
- Include your account email and subscription details
- Provide a reason for the refund request
- Our team will review your request within 3-5 business days
- You will receive an email notification regarding the decision
Approved refunds will be processed within 7-14 business days. The refund will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.
4. Credits and Email Validation Usage
Please note:
- Email validation credits are non-refundable once used
- Unused credits do not carry monetary value and cannot be refunded
- Email validations consumed during your subscription period cannot be refunded
- Credits reset at the beginning of each billing cycle based on your plan
5. Chargebacks and Disputes
If you file a chargeback or dispute with your payment provider, your account will be immediately suspended pending resolution. We encourage you to contact us directly at hello@validcontact.io before initiating a chargeback, as we are committed to resolving any issues you may have.
6. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Cancellation and Refund Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the modified policy.
